Black Pine Cabin

The concept of the “Black Pine Cabin” came from the modular experience of building with shipping containers; the process of  building large modules at the shop which can then be relocated to a more rural location. Shipping containers didn’t suit location, and for this reason Studio Huizenga designed a wood frame home by using three 12ft by 26ft units. Now located in the Sunshine Valley, this cabin features custom touches throughout, combining natural wood finishes with a black corrugated envelope.
